I was having a MOMENT(!?!).
Mad at myself, for some reason.
scolding Past Me,
Present Me, So Full OF knowledge.
Anger met His eyes.
he wagged his (look-at-me) tail.
welcomed my approach,
loving me for the me he Knew,
not the me he was seeing.
Do any of you have a human like that?

Yes. My human is not home as I would like. She sleeps in until 5 in the morning and that is sometimes hard for me to wait. And then she goes, the other waits until 8. So no breakfast until then. The other stays in another room for endless hours, delaying dinner past 4pm. But my human sometimes comes home just before then! Excitement! Walkies! (I go with the other at mid-day, but it is not the same – besides, I can hold it for hours longer if I need to!). Then the other makes me dinner. But I abhor him. He reminds me of my past life. So I yell at him to express my anxiety. The other is the one with the treats, but he still reminds me of the past. The worst is when he wears a hat. I cannot take it.Pray for me.
